Excerpt: She stood in the huge window, allowing the breeze to play with her long tresses, and then gazed at the beautiful moon and the dancing stars in the dark sky with tear-filled eyes and whispered to herself, "I don't want this anymore ... take me away from here. Please free me from this situation ..." She took a long pause as she tried to swallow the lump in her throat, and continued, "... free me from these shackles of iron, and let me go. Please ... I will truly collapse if this continues ..." She wiped her eyes before anyone could see her and went back to her textbooks. ----- Minor incidents can turn out to reveal something major. This is my first book... :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friends, love, hope and dreams are the four pillars of teenage. While they mold the life for better for most of us, it was nothing less than a nightmare for her. She, who thought was cursed and shouldn't even have existed. She, who was named a devil; whose past hovered above her, burdened her and haunted her each time she thought of living a normal life. When having a boyfriend was as normal as breathing for her friends, it was something abstract for her; unrealistic, out of her league. Thus, plastering a smile on her face, veiling her dreadful existence, she quietly lived; existed. She, who desperately tried to hide her secret, once dared to swim against the current, proposed her first crush in high school and got stabbed by that same person. The person whom she loved, trusted. When her first crush publicly degraded her, broadcasting her past to the entire school; something died within her. Her hope. To love and to live a normal life. She was broken - beyond repair. After she moved to her new life in London, she thought she had left everything behind in India, only until she met him. ------------ Copyright © Radhika Acharya All rights to this book are reserved *** Do not copy my work.
