Annie has everything. Money, a big house, a great family, and friends, but when her boyfriend commits suicide because of her she breaks down. So when she thinks it couldn't get any worse it does. Her 14 year old sister, Katie and her get into a car wreck. Katie dies. Annie's parents blame her for the death of her little sister. They have a breakdown. Her mother becomes a drug addict while her father becomes an alcoholic. Her father starts getting violent, and taking everything out on Annie. She finds comfort in cutting and hurting herself. She feels she deserves to be punished. Will Annie get her life back together with the help of a boy named Damon or will her life get too hard to handle?
