I flickered my eyes as I could not see properly due to all the strain and stress. I could not make sense of the situation. I felt a sudden tug at my feet as I tried to pull them, realising that they were tied by the rope. My hands were free but there was a feeling of numbness in them. It was all so overwhleming and sudden for me that I felt like drowning in an ocean, where I did not want to be saved. The truth was in front of me and I didn't want to believe it. (I'm a massive fan of the monster hunting genre.) Written from Sep 2011 until April 2014. This was the very first adult romance I'd written and has a plethora of problems. Despite this, I won't do further editing as I'm putting my efforts into a full re-write. Author's note - Please be mindful of what you're saying when commenting. I'm happy with helpful criticism, spelling/grammar pointers, questions or simple chatter. However, a tirade of needless, unhelpful complaints and just outright rude commentary is not welcome. My stories are terrible first drafts, they're going to be riddled with issues, so just politely highlight if you feel there's a problem. I'll listen and likely take on board the criticism.
