I wrote this story when I was 11 and illiterate, but now that I'm 16 and well versed in literature, I feel like stabbing myself whenever I have to reread this crappy story.
I am editing and just straight up rewriting most of these chapters.

Written in Blood . {After OoT/MM fic} Hyrule is on the brink of another bloody war when he returns, the hero that had slipped away to be forgotten by the land. No longer a hero, living a life of isolation far away from the land that had made him a legend once. Resentful and broken, Link hides it best he can, trying to focus on the future and forget. But Zelda remembers him, the person he once was. He's so different now, and perhaps she is too. The whole land is, transformed by war as Ganondorf works to seize all that he believes once belonged to him, in a time no longer. Both Link and Zelda find themselves in the middle of this war, forced to fight and strategize and deal with their own inner demons as well as each other, amidst the war the Hylians fight to regain their land and defeat the King of Thieves. > < . DISCLAIMER . While this story is a war story, so it features violence, some gore, and death, it has many lighthearted moments and tons of (attempted) comedy. So enjoy and read at your own risk. In modern day Hyrule, Link is an orphan who lives in an orphanage. Because he is meant to be the Hero of Hyrule, his bunkmates get jealous and bully him for it. When Link enters first grade, he befriends Zelda, the most beautiful girl in Hyrule, and eventually falls in love with her. The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. Five years later, Link is a 16-year-old man with severe depression and a Hero chosen by the Master Rifle. He is still in love with Zelda and thinks about her every second of his life. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda. It wasn't that of the human race anymore. It was told that Hero had lost his lover in the Era of the Wild due to her sacrifice to save his life, thus, in the next era.. You were born to be 'temporary'. Your only hope of living is for him to love you. But that isn't easy. When the three goddesses of the Triforce unintentionally grant the Princess of Hyrule the Triforce of Power, and the evil locked away from the world the Triforce of Wisdom, everything is in chaos as it was before, only it's the princess this time who's causing the trouble. Zelda had been power hungry for years. Years before the mark of the Triforce of Power appeared on the back of her hand, she'd always thrown fits if something didn't go her way. Now, at only seventeen and fully gifted with the Triforce of Power, she made sure things went her way, and her way only. Ganondorf had escaped the Sacred Realm somehow, and returns to the Gerudo Village in peace. Accidentally blessed with the Triforce of Wisdom, he acknowledges the Gerudo's hard work and thrives to make his village a better place for everyone. Link, still possessing the Triforce of Courage, has been assigned to be Zelda's personal bodyguard and do something horribly wrong to please her majesty, which he does not partake in ever doing. Fate brings Link and Ganondorf face to face. Somehow, Link and Ganondorf team up and secretly plot against the princess to stop her vile plans to make Hyrule miserable. Zelda Hyrule's life has always been one that is not her own. Zelda has always been the spitting image of what her Father wants her to be. She has never broken a rule. That being, never been out past 9 pm, has never cut a class, and most importantly, has never, ever had a boyfriend.
