We shall not stop dancing
In September 2000 events in Israel had a big effect on my life. For the next few years Israel was targeted by scores of Palestinian suicide bombers who detonated deadly suicide belts packed with not only explosives but also schrapnel. There was no way of knowing when the next one would strike, be it on buses, cafes, restaurants or wherever crowds of people congretated. On June 1st a bomb struck a crowd of youngsters outside a disco in Tel Aviv. One young girl who lay injured told the paramedic "we shall not stop dancing". For some reason I still remembered those brave words years later. It was then that I decided to write a book about a fictional bombing in Tel Aviv. One of the biggest reasons for this was not generated by any political belief but to specifically show that despite everything that was thrown at them Israelis simply carried on living their lives. The book title comes from the brave words of the injured young girl. It will take you through just another regular day of 12 very different people, most of them unaware that it will be their last day.Abgeschlossene Geschichte

September 11, 2001 began as an ordinary, late-summer day. As the sun rose, fair weather and blue skies prevailed over much of the country and thousands of commercial airliners prepared for flight. But, in less than two hours' time, this seemingly routine day was transformed when 19 terrorists boarded and hijacked four commercial airplanes to attack America. Nearly 3,000 people were killed when the hijacked planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon near Washington, DC, and when United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in the Pennsylvania countryside outside of Shanksville, PA. Flight 93 did not arrive at the hijackers' intended target - the Nation's Capital - because of the selfless and courageous actions of the 40 passenger and crew members on board. "We're going to do something," passenger Tom Burnett told his wife that morning, the last words she ever heard him speak. They did. This is their story. The Girl Who Jumped
I stood on the edge of the rooftop. My eyes closed and my mind free. I'm ready. Now is the time. I could feel my breath quickening, Breathe in, Breathe out. I slowly start to gain composure of my thoughts. I can hear the people on the ground. I can see them entering the building in their perfect dresses with their perfect hair. I look down at my Royal Blue gown and smile. It's time. I slowly exhale and let myself fall. I'm free. Well, that's what I thought when I jumped, but the world hates me. So now. I'm alive and kicking, quite literally kicking in fact. Paisley George is a screw up, her "True Love" even knew it. So she jumped, but her.... attempted suicide was a failure, now she is stuck living with her grandma. event after event, Paisley ends up becoming friends with the towns bad boys and maybe she might just fall in love with one.
