As a young, innocent child Violet was blissfully unaware of the cruel and dark world around her. She didn't notice the twig thin models put under pressure to be the best. She didn't notice the murderers, the abusers... She didn't notice the hourly struggle of people to be perfect. Violet only saw bright colours and a blank white canvas- ready to be painted and filled in through her excitable hands. When she discovers that not everything in life is so Disney her mind takes her down a dark and dangerous road. One filled with pain and sadness and the frustrating phrase- Not Good Enough This is a story of a young girl coming to blows with the surrounding environment in her never ending quest to be perfect. They thought August Maze was crazy about being popular....They thought she had a perfect life...They thought she was mean and snooty but they might want to think again.... August Maze is a sixteen year old girl living in a fake world. She knows that she is only popular because they think she is pretty. Many people love her, envy her, or hate her. She tries to be happy because she knows that if she is not, her so called friends will leave her. She doesn't want to be alone because its one of her biggest fears. Her father makes her life harder when he puts her in a group therapy after finding out about a eating disorder. But in the end, she meets people she wished she met a long time ago. Guys i thing this is one of my best books personally but its cliche of course.
