I thought I understood it, the general perspective of things. The way life works. But I don't, no one ever really truly does. They get an idea in their heads of how things work or should work. Little do we all know the unprepared tragic things that lie ahead of us. The losses and gains. We soon realize the difference between our wants and needs. Things we will we wish we kept, protected, cherished...because in the blink of an eye they can just perish. It's like watching a plane in the sky. You watch it for a while, then it goes behind a cloud and you just forget about it. I sometimes wish people that have deceased could be like that.

Moon Wish

When I was little, I believed in magic, the kind with an enchanted fairy godmother and the power of making wishes. These beliefs began to wither with every unanswered wish. They disappeared completely when I made my final wish, a moon wish. The black cloud that has followed me since that day has only gotten thicker and darker over the years; it's so dense that it is starting to obscure everything. I can't see the sky at all. It's been so long since I've seen any light, I've forgotten what it felt like to walk in it. Lost in the dark, an accident brings me a glimmer of it. To appreciate the light, you have to endure the dark.
