Sakura, the last one standing on a wasteland of bodies. As she finds her teammates, the grief comes crushing down, and so with one swipe kunai, the joins them.
What she did not expect was was wake up crying her lungs out, and as she saw the blurry figures of her parents, it clicked.
She realized that she was an infant again, this was her second chance.

"Naruto!" Sasuke gasped. "Have you seen Sakura?" "That's..." Kakashi cut Naruto off with his hand, waving him down. "That's actually why we came here... actually." Kakashi said. "Until further notice; your mission that you were to go on is not happening." Sasuke just looked at Kakashi, he wasn't known for stopping a mission unless something terrible was happening. "What happened to my Fiance..." Sasuke murmured. He wanted to inch his hand to his sword. He wanted something physical to attack. His anger was smothered in fear. "What would you think Karin would want with Sakura...?" Kakashi murmured. Kairn? What did she have to do with any of this. "I... I honestly wouldn't know... I don't keep up with them anymore. Why?" "Because Sakura was reported to be knocked out in a red headed girls arms just this morning, they tried to catch up to her, but failed." Kakashi murmured, Naruto grabbed Sasuke's arms and pinned them to his sides. Everyone knew Sasuke was about to act irrationally. Sasuke was wordless, he didn't know what to do. His mind raced. They couldn't catch up to Karin? They couldn't save her? He knew there was something they weren't telling him. "What the fuck.... you told me she was safe in this damn village!" Sasuke yelled. He pulled against Naruto, trying to free himself. "You told me to trust you damn it!" "Naruto..." Kakashi murmured. "I'm sorry Sasuke..." He mumbled from behind him. The last thing Sasuke remembered was Naruto hitting the back of his neck. So I guess this is how Sakura felt... ------- Uchiha Burden is a spin off from Chidori Heart. Sakura cant stand all of the relationships that are happening while Sasuke is gone, but when Sasuke comes home, it triggers more events then any of them ever expected. Preventing The Inevitable
In which Sakura tries to figure out if she's been sent to the past-or an alternate universe with suspicious tweaks. Dying was everything she had expected, an inevitable event, bound to happen sooner rather than later (a lot sooner, actually)-an unstoppable force, driven by the arm of a rabbit goddess piercing through her, and just barely not enough will to survive. And yet, it was nothing she could've ever prepared for. Not when she found herself four years old again, and a pink-haired stranger roamed her strangely empty house, claiming to be her brother. - "Sakura had one thought, waking up screaming her lungs out. Shit. Because she wasn't supposed to be screaming. She wasn't supposed to have a voice at all. And she sure as hell wasn't supposed to know that."

Sasuke looked forward and gasped. A kunai was coming; full speed. "SASUKE!!" Sasuke closed his eyes. He waited for the impact. He opened his eyes to Sakura making eye contact with him. "Sakura...?" The kunai was in her back. She panted in pain. "Sakura...." He couldn't believe she flash stepped in the path of the kunai and him. She collapsed in his arms. He looked where the kunai hit. It hit her lung, that's all he could tell. "Sasuke we should take her to Tsunade!" Naruto called as he lifted her up. "Sakura stay awake with me.." He whispered to her as her eyes started to roll back. After a major mission went horribly wrong, the Leaf shinobi were ordered to retreat and abandon those left behind, even if it meant leaving teammates. Sakura, not willing to leave those dear to her, goes to rescue them. After which she discovers Tsunade is not going to just leave her be, but the apprentice doesn't plan to let her kindness be smothered out. Abandoning her home wasn't her original plan. She would have liked to go back, but the wheels of the world had begun turning in a different direction long before she was born. A war was prevented and lives were saved. Sakura will just be another mechanism in the workings of time.
