We want to help. If someone dear to us is in pain, we want to help. But what happens when said person in pain is only toxic to your health. You want to help, you need to help. But you can't. They've done enough to you and themselves. They're damaged beyond belief and you can't go over the edge with them. You have so much to live for. You need to leave. There's no more you can do. Let go.
