Mariella Quertas is a rich girl who lives with her mother. Her father died recently and she has become very distant. Her father's death has created a void in her heart that feels like it will never be refilled. Her mother believes it is necessary to move from their old life and turn over a new leaf. They decide to move to California and Mariella is forced to attend Turner Heights, where all the rich kids belong. Along comes Sean Verdant who is from the neighbouring school where everyone else attends. Sean and Mariella meet and there was an intimate spark between them.
