I woke up with a gasp. I looked over to the window. It was night. I groaned and sat up. "Really, Damien? You could've woken me up!"

No one answered. I scowled and got off the bed. At least I'm still in my clothes. "Damien? Hello?"

I walked over to the window, looking at the scenery. All of the city lights were on. They were actually pretty in the dark.

I turned around to look at the bed, and my jaw dropped. I was still on the bed. I was watching myself sleep.

I watched closer. No, I wasn't asleep. I wasn't moving. I wasn't breathing.

I drew in a deep breath, trying to calm down. Okay, try to remember what last happened. You fell asleep when Damien was holding you, so then what?

I heard a sound in the bathroom, and I jumped. The door was open, and the lights were on, so I managed to get myself to move toward the bathroom.

Inside, Damien was at the sink. It looked like he was washing out his mouth. "Um, Damien? Why can I see my body on the bed?" He didn't acknowledge me at all.

With a sinking heart, I realized that he was cleaning something red out of his mouth. Blood red.

"What...."

I backed out of the doorway. There's no way. Am I dead? That's impossible....

I slipped on nothing from my panic and fell on my butt. I held back a cry. I started to shake. "Why is this happening? Is this really happening? Or is this just a dream?"

"It's not a dream."

"Adira, how did you get in?" He started. Holding up a silver object she waved it about and placed it on a coffee table, he remembered the spare key that was hidden under the doormat. "Well I'm glad we were finally able to find you, Leyana has been going crazy trying to find you, we know you couldn't have gone far without turning back so we waited." Again he met silence, no words coming from her side of the room, her face looked tortured, her corneas were red with blood vessels irritated and the area around her eyes were damp and tired. She tried her best to appear everything except emotional but she failed miserably, when she looked him in the eyes he almost shivered from the ferocity held in the honeyed orbs. When she fell onto the couch he knew something was wrong. Crossing the space between them in a matter of seconds and kneeling in front of her he rested a hand on her quivering thigh. "Adira, what's wrong? Has something happened?" The far away look told him he was dealing with something that he had no idea how to, she couldn't focus on him, she didn't even meet his eyes. She simply looked forward and swallowed the bile of emotion rising in her throat. Cupping her cheeks in his hand he made her look at him, glassy eyes barely made their way to him until she snapped onto his vision, focused emotions intensified on the dark blue eyes that filled with concern. "What am I Kalmin?" A tortured whisper of a voice. ___ Adira Levrin was born Lord of the (Secret) Society of the Southern states of America. I woke up in a daze, unsure of why my body felt so stiff, so sore. I winced as I threw my legs over the side of the bed, and again as I stood up, pain flaring from every muscle in my body as I made my way to the polished mirror beside my wardrobe. I gasped at the sight of the bruised and battered girl in front of me. The memories from last night flooded my mind. It was my birthday. Father had invited several high class guests to the event. He expected me to begin courting. The man he had introduced me to was a plump old man. I had refused adamantly, his years against my fourteen churned my stomach. Unfortunately, my father didn't take my refusal well. He grabbed me by the arm roughly and dragged me into the attic-my bedroom. His beatings were getting worse. At least the last time i t hadn't taken much effort to hide the pain. This time that wouldn't be possible. This time, there would be no hiding it. This time the pain was too much. I whimpered as I headed to the door, but it was locked. It seems my father had predicted my state. Rage and anger burned through my veins as I slammed my fist against the door. One day I would learn to defend myself. One day I would escape this wretched castle. One day I would no longer be bound by the Caspian people. One day I will no longer be their princess. "I will get away from here, and you will pay for what you've done old man." I vowed before slamming my fist against the door again. "I will be free." I huffed as I crawled back into the bed for some much needed rest.

He transformed into a monster. He had scales on the sides of his body. His face was almost human but the monster part took over more. He had claws and a long dragons tail. I got scared. "Please don't eat me!" I backed up against the wall. He got closer to me. I was so scared. "Please!" I had tears running down my cheeks. He took my arms and pinned me up against the wall. His tongue was like a snakes tongue. He licked my neck. I was crying. He hissed in my ear before he talked. "I'll make a deal with you little human. I will let you live. IF. You belong only to me. I will come visit you every night and leave before the sun rises." I stared at him. Belong only to him? I wouldn't have a boyfriend. Would he make me do things I didn't want to do? Would he get mad one day and eat me? But I couldn't think about that right now. It was either this or die. I sighed so I could speak clearly. "Yes." One night, a creature snuck into Sammy's bedroom. Instead of choosing to eat her, he offers her a once in a lifetime opportunity. Sammy's life has been going downhill since her father's passing. So her agreeing to belong to this creature was just the tip of the iceberg. Soon she becomes involved in a world she never knew existed. Can she find a new life, true love and happiness in this world? And most importantly, can she trust this monster she just sold her soul to? Copyright for the photo belongs to ME! I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I extended them too high for they have hit the glittery dream catcher hanging on the headboard of my bed. The said item dropped on my face. "Argh, get off me." I removed the dream catcher from my face and sat up on my bed. I turned my gaze to the clock on the side table; it was 7:15. "Ugh," I moaned. "it's too early." I closed my eyes and tried to sleep again. A few minutes passed until somebody knocked on the door. "Marie," said the person who knocked on the door. "Let's go already!" Shoot, I forgot. No wonder I woke up so early. I quickly rose to my feet and rushed to the bathroom. "Marie! Are you even awake?" I didn't respond just yet because I was in the shower. A few moments later, the same person knocked on my door. "I've got the keys, Marie," she said. I could hear her shaking the keys outside my door. "You can't stay asleep forever!" Hurriedly, I placed on my blue blouse and pants. I grabbed the brush from the bathroom and started to comb my dark brown hair. Rushing to the door, I opened it to see my friend Ranie Accendo. I eyed her gray blazer over her white shirt, pants, and boots. "What took you so long?" she asked. "Nevermind that." I shook my hand dismissively. "Where are we going? If it's not important, I'm going back to bed." "To the forest." "The forest? Why?" "I'll show you something." ••••••••••••••• •All of the characters in this book belong to me and @RanieAccendo• •The cover photo was drawn by me.•

"I never wanted this!" I scream, tears streaming down my eyes. He kisses my neck, muttering sweet things to me, but I ignore him. "I wanted to live a normal life. But no, guess what, I had to be the mate of the freaking vampire prince! Yay!" His body tenses behind me, and I realize what I said. I turn back to apologize, to tell him that's not what I meant, but he stops me. "If that's how you feel." He whispers, walking away before I can blink. - Sadistic: that's what everyone thinks of Ava. She enjoys watching people suffer. The way the squirm and beg for mercy, it probably turns her on. Though, what happens when she has to save lives, not take them away? It's not saving lives like Superman does, it's way more intense. Did she see that coming? No. Does life care? Not at all. In fact, it's throwing her in front of a bus (literally). One secret demands poor Ava to bend all of her morals, and change herself completely. Forever's going to take longer than expected. Warning: Cursing is frequent.
