"Why do you let people bully you? It's like you're just a pushover!" My dad grabbed me by my hair and forcefully pinned me against the wall. Fear consumed me, causing me to keep my eyes shut tight the entire time. He angrily punched the wall beside my head, finally releasing his grip on my hair and storming out of my room. If only things could be different. Enza was a quiet girl who faced challenges she had no control over. She had mild autism and although she excelled in school, she had moments where she would break down. Living with her family - her mom, dad, and two older siblings - Enza was treated the worst despite being the youngest. Her dad despised her for being different and treated her horribly. The only source of love in the house came from her mom. But there was someone else who truly cared for Enza - her best friend Jace. They said that there's nothing like the love of your own parents. Well for the 17 year old girl Angela, it's completely the oppossite. She's being physically abused by her father. With no one to turn to, she keeps everything to herself. Afraid that if someone finds out about it, her father might kill her. Nearly 8 years of phycial abuse, she learned to isolate herself amongst her peers from school. She distanced herself from friends that she used to have. Only spoke when necessary. Everytime someone would try to befriend with her, she would push them away. Caught up with her own messed up life, she met Brandon the new guy from her class. He's not your typical cliche jock guy. Brandon seems to have some interest on Angela. But with her pushing him away everytime he tries to get to know her, it made it extra harder for him to talk to her. But what happens when he finds out what kind of life she has? Will he easily give up? Or will he actually try to earn her trust and help her?

She's a straight A student and she lives a normal life. Or at least she did. It all started when she was 7th grade. Her mom became MIA (missing in action). Her dad became an angry man. He thought the whole reason why Jessica's mom left, was because of Jessica. He beats her every day. And to top it all off, she gets bullied at school. Will her life ever become normal again? Or will it just keep falling apart.

The boys gasped when I swore at Stone. He, on the other hand, looked furious. Matilda is 16 years old, with 5 older brother, 5 terrifying older brothers in who she hates with a passion. They left her to deal with their father wrath, to live their own lives far away. She now lives alone, in a dangerous and dirty neighbourhood, but she doesn't care, as long as she is far away from those she is suppose to call family. But when they all turn up for Christmas, hoping for happy times and warm hugs, she is instilled with fear and pure anger. Will she accept them, or will they stop trying?
