The Sprites are DNA experiments escaped from a lab, they now take residence in a broken down flat in Washington. They now spend there time protecting the people who gave their DNA to the lab and their family members, they protect from the shadows.
Everything was going to plan until DaveSprite ran into John. He starts developing a crush on the human who he is supposed to protect.

Their test subjects are a group of teen prisoners who have offered freedom after the tests are complete, assuming they survive. The tests succeed and the teens are equipped with strange abilities that make them the most powerful humans on the planet. Things take a turn for the worst when a tragic accident leads to the deaths of most of the scientists. The teens are now mostly by themselves, stuck on an island, with dangers lurking at every corner. Just because they have powers doesn't mean that they're invincible.
