Little girls dream to be princesses; to have the gorgeous ballgowns, the magnificent castle, the handsome prince. But in reality, it isn't like that.

Marissa is a selfish princess in the land of Larilia with a love for the ocean. In her opinion, her life is far from luxurious. Her father's overbearing rules and demanding nature denies her of the freedom she yearns, and even though she gets all she wants, she wishes for more. Can the revealing of her secret relationship and a heartbreaking betrayal bring her back to reality? Or will she lose everything she has ever known?

In a story about a princess, a forbidden love and an over-ruling parent, a teenage girl discovers herself, and that all it takes to fix her problems is what the ocean brings.

In my dreams they were steely and cold, haunting, different from the dark amusement that glinted in them now. He reminded me of a Shadow Cat; great lethal felines that prowled through the Lost Jungle, preparing to attack his prey.Me. *** A simple tavern maid gets shipped - literally - into a world full of piracy, lies, and battles. The longer she stays out in sea, the more she learns that the pirates her country is fighting are not regular pirates, and that the people she comes to care about the most are in the middle of all the fighting. Laria must get her act together after her hometown is massacred and help win this war, but can she, when a supposed noble comes into her life at the same time her ex-fiancee returns?
