Shy Miss

I was bold once.
I used to love to play sports,
I loved to be complete center of attention.
Everybody knew my name.
Everybody was my best friend.

That awesome life faded right before my eyes.

Something happened,
Something that made me grow quiet,
Forget who I used to be,
And become someone unrecognized;
Somebody who reads;
Somebody who can't talk to anyone without growing bashful.

That somebody is a person I never wanted to be.
