It's been a while since Chihiro was in the spirit world. She's lost her memories of her friends there, but somehow she still remembers the love and happiness from somewhere that she can't recall. She's lived her human life boring and eneventful; she can't love anyone for some reason she doesn't understand. She doesn't have enough memories to tell stories to make close friends.
But one day, a mysterious, yet somewhat familiar boy finds her at school, claiming to be fulfilling a promise to see her again and explain some things that didn't make sense before. He takes her away to a place both foreign and familiar: the spirit world. The boy is determined to make her remember everything, but will her human mind prevent her from her memories of when she was spirited away?
