Cassie Miller is a typical teenage girl living in a little city that most people would have never heard about. Nothing ever happens, that is until Shelly Sterling's party. The night of the party, a girl falls to her death. Everyone begins to suspect that it wasn't an accident, and all people begin to blame Cassie's brother, Mason. She knows that there is absolutely no way her brother would do something like that and decides to investigate the death of the girl herself, along with the school drama geek Eli. As the unlikely duo delve deeper into their investigation, they find that their is a lot more going on beneath the surface. Along the way Cassie learns that her best friend Sarah had something to do with the girls death, and risks everything, desperate to find the truth.

"She's gone." Those two simple words was all it took to throw Angel into a state where she shut out everyone. After two years after losing her best friend, Dahlia, Angel goes to university were she meets an old friend, Brooklyn, at a party on her birthday, also her best friend's death anniversary. She gets too drunk to drive by herself, so Brooklyn offers, resulting into a car accident. While unconscious, Angel sees Dahlia who tells her that they don't know everything about her supposed accidental death and that it's up to Angel and Brooklyn to uncover the truth of what happened the night Dahlia died.
