The CDC accidentally released what they thought was a harmless cattle steroid. They couldn't possibly have know it was going to turn people into zombies. Rated M for later violence, language, and cannibalism.

If Winter Harper thought life at her new boarding school was going to be easy, she was dead wrong. Everyone at ZBS-Academy has the same mysterious virus---one that's slowly turning everyone into terrifying flesh eating monsters, also known as zombies. The teachers are lifeless, and the food stinks. Literally. And worst of all, the clique of popular mean girls who rule the school have already decided that she's dead to them. All Winter wants is to go back to her old school, and be with her old friends. But until a cure is found, Winter is stuck at ZBS-Academy forever ... Well that's what these children thought also. Being in school is hard enough, but what about having to survive together; when the apocalypse starts in the middle of a school day? With no supplies, these kids rush out of the building. With weak training, so young, so innocent.. kids aren't what they seem. See what they can do with the years they have left when the world is ending. They fight their way past the adults that think horror about them, other kids that try to kill them, and of course... Outbreak: The Silence Before
The story begins in a seemingly typical day at a school campus, filled with the usual hustle and bustle of students attending their classes, talking with friends, and preparing for the end of the school day. The characters, a diverse group of friends and classmates, go about their normal routines without any suspicion of the impending doom. The friendships between Denisse, Euanne, Eunice, Eunise, Samantha, Jasemaine, Lei, Lowie, Atasha, Eriel, Roa, Vaneza, Maia, Ryjel, Princess, Rhianna, Power, Kaizer, Stephen, Liam, Mary, and Keziah give a sense of community and normalcy, where everyone is simply focused on their studies, weekend plans, and sharing moments with each other. However, the peace of this day is shattered when a freak accident in the school leads to a rapid outbreak. A student from another grade interacts with a rat infected with dangerous chemicals and rabies, causing a chain reaction. That student becomes the first zombie, and the infection spreads quickly through the school campus and the surrounding barangay. The sounds of chaos and screams echo in the hallways, setting off alarms among the students who, at first, think it's some sort of prank. But as the tension grows, they soon realize that what they're witnessing is no joke. With the school's phone lines down and no way to call for help, the students barricade themselves inside their classrooms. The realization of the outbreak sets in slowly as they face their fears and prepare for whatever horrors await them outside the walls. Some are terrified, others are in denial, but one thing is certain: their world has changed. Their survival instincts will be tested as the outbreak begins to tear their world apart.

Lost In A Deadly Paradise
The school started off as any other school year for Autumn Winters. But at the worst possible moment an outbreak occured and the whole school turned into chaos. Autumn and her misfit group of friends make it out of the school, trying to fight for their lives as the people they once knew and maybe even loved tried to bite at their flesh. The group met new people and made new friends, as well as making even more enimies as if them all being stuck with eachother wasn't bad enough. Scientists in the CDC lab try to genetically enhance a virus known as the Zika virus to try and fully understand how it was caused and how it can be stopped. The experiment was tested to far from its limits and became a deadly virus that is now air borne spreading it to anyone it came into contact with. The government tried to contain it, but it became to powerful to hide from the world, and the virus turned anyone it came into contact with, into man eating monsters.
