Star is a different type of girl. Ever since she got detached from her divorced, emotionally unavailable parents, she's been filling up her quiet, lonely world with music and dancing. She's practically a musical prodigy at 16 and music can't possibly be taken away from her. The only people she's ever been really close to are her psycho, over enthusiastic bff's. They're the only people she can tolerate anyway. That's until one fateful day when she meets a cocky, narcissistic, though really cute guy at her favourite fro yo shop who gets under her skin for just being himself. She absolutely detests guys like him. Absolutely gorgeous, frustratingly charming, cocky as hell and shockingly talented at music. That's right. Star discovers that this seemingly unbearable guy loves music almost as much as she does and just that single fact makes her heart soften a little so she lets her guard down for just a tiny bit. But after that one moment that she decides to let it down, she realises that she can't get it back up again. She discovers she can actually feel things and once she acknowledges this, her whole world is completely changed from the quiet, peaceful, drama free life she has always been used to into a series of drama, heartbreak, tears, broken trusts and friendships. |Featured X1| @romance(high school romance)

Is it a love story? Maybe. It would be clearly defined as 'complicated'... It's hurtful and confusing, yet, my thoughts puzzle me with each step I take...all I wonder is how it would be and what it'll end up like. Is what I'm doing right?

This is a personal documentation through poetry. I am learning to look inward now, give myself love when I least want to. I do not live to love others, I live to love myself. I will find and create what is enough for me, and you will learn to let it be enough for you. 2022

In a world where success is measured by gold, love became a puzzle, elusive and cold. She longed to fill the emptiness inside, yearning for a soulmate to stand by her side. With flaws laid bare, she sought to be seen, a heart so raw, a soul between. Then came a love, strong and true, a resilient spirit, their bond grew. Magnetic, captivating, they intertwined, easing the burdens that weighed her mind. For the first time, love felt real, in his embrace, her wounds could heal. Convinced he was the missing part, her heartbeat steady, no longer torn apart. Yet fate has a way of shifting the skies, their tale took a turn, a darkened disguise. Secrets uncovered, truths brought to light, the joy they shared crumbled in the night. A shattering blow, her heart left torn, the love she believed in now was worn. Yet through the pain, there came a chance, redemption's whisper, a final dance. Amid the brokenness, she found her way, a new understanding of love's true sway.
