Christian (Chris) Carter has never felt so alone. So defeated.
His real mother died when he was 16. His father remarried a younger woman and a few years later, his sister, Callie, was born. When Callie was 3, her mother ran off, and Chris's father remained single.
Christian, now 29, is all alone with his now 16 year old sister. His father left them alone and ran off with another woman. Chris's job was to make sure that he and his sister survive together. Times had never been harder. Chris lost his job and does not have enough money to pay the rent for the apartment he and his sister share.
Things are about to get worse.
The government collapsed and society is falling apart. Chris and Callie's hometown has erupted into chaos. People are breaking in to other people's houses. Guns are firing. Brother turning on brother for to steal supplies. And even bombs detonate. No one can be trusted. In the wake of the chaos, Callie suddenly vanished in the middle of the night. And there's no trace of where she's gone. But there's more to his sister's disappearance then meets the eye.
But when invaders from across the boarder come to raid what little remains, they give no mercy to the ones who stand in their way and they are armed with advanced technology. With Callie missing, Chris decides to set off on foot with his only friend, Jack, and encounters Olivia LeClair, a runaway woman in search of freedom and meaning.
This dystopian society is doomed. There must be a new world somewhere, right?

After a turn of events Liz finds herself moving in with the new kid in school that no one can stop talking about and his family. As much as she fights it, she falls for him. She starts believing that her past is now tucked away and she can move forward with her life. But just as things seem to be going right someone from her past makes their way back into her life. Liz soon realizes she will have to make a choice. Will she choose her past or her present? Whatever she chooses, it will change her life forever. Michael's Ghost Girl
This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. 😇 I have a billion dollar company and it doesn't always run so smoothly. This is one of the times it hasn't. Characters are from E L James books. Christian Grey has owned Seattle Independent Publishing for a year now. He hasn't had time to really change things around yet. The computers are archaic and everything needs updating. So he had to find a building in close proximity to Grey House. He finally saw the building opened today. They are moving in within the month after everything is given an okay by building inspectors. Elliott did all the work. Carrick helped push the sale through. The owners kids were fighting over rights to it after their parents died. Two long years and Grey finally got it. He wants to make a name in publishing as well. He thinks they write enough about him he can write as well. How to fall prey to your mothers friend. Elena Lincoln has came up missing after being found sexually assaulting a child in her dungeon. Warrants were served to any place her name was associated with. Including mine.
