The Confederation council, based on the Capital planet of Solaris, has decided that the threat is over with Colonel Dowdneer's demise. As a result they order, under Confederation law, every member of the Confederation to dispatch their military to help with the unrest on Tranchilite.

Zeb' Zeptre is waiting, on Osolieus, for the right time to unleash his plan. With the Council's decision to send out help to Tranchilite - that time is near.

The Grelite King uses the order from the council as cover to send in his own small team to look for Zeb' Zeptre.

Then, just when every world is unknowingly at their weakest, civil war breaks out simultaneously on all 14 worlds.

Rebecca has foreseen this but is unable to help. She is yet to enlist the help of her new recruits. She parts with Neil to start recruiting them and Neil starts his new assignment with the ECS team.

Peace was finally settled, with the Confederation retaining rule over the frontier planets and the Dominion retaining its rule over the Sol system. The peace also included the destruction of each side’s nuclear arsenals and the establishment of a vital trade network that would prevent any further conflict. In 2450, the Confederation began an exploration mission to the region just beyond their zone of control. In 2456, there was a report of several nuclear explosions coming from the region of space being explored, followed by the return of a battered and damaged Confederation ship with only a skeleton crew left on board. The remaining crew subsequently disappeared into the billions of citizens of the Confederation and the Dominion amidst a Dominion demand of inquiry into the explosions. Rumours spread of Dominion agents trying to track down the crew members of the Confederation ship.
