Born to the sea she was, a creature of myth and legend among sailors, said to be able to bring down an entire ship and turn it into a savage wreck- or to bring luck and fortune depending on how you treat her and her home. A mermaid, one of a colony and daughter to the matriarch, with a name like a song. A being such as her is not one to walk on land, however after a run in with a fisherman and an odd twist of fate, she is yanked from the sea and forced unto the land where she must adapt-- and quickly. Word has spread about the mermaid trapped on land and many are eager to take advantage of her displacement. But it is not a human who comes to her aide, a creature of the night, a predator to be feared. So why does she feel such a connection to him?

The world is full of creatures humans have yet to truly discover. Outside of the ordinary lays a world hidden to the sensitive eyes of humans. She is a part of that world, though by now she is not quite sure she wants to be.
