After her mother left her over ten years ago, seventeen year old Lana has been sailing around the word with her dad. She may have been homeschooled but she knows everything she needs to know about the ocean. Not only on boats but on a surfboard too. 

Never staying in one place very long, Lana never had time to make friends or live a stable life as they try to cope with minimum income.

But a month after her dad leaves to go on a sailing race, she gets a call that her father is missing and is forced to live with the mother she hasn't spoken to in years. The mother who happens to own one of the biggest beach resorts in Hawaii.

Lana must learn how to survive in this knew life where she will have to deal with snobby rich people, old childhood friends, the non-existent relationship with her mother and the worry of having no idea what happened to her father.

But how long will she have this new life before she goes back to her old one?

(I've decided to edit and re-publish one of my most successful books here on this platform, now as a mature writer. Ride the Waves is a book I began writing at 17 years old-now 10 years later it has amassed many fans and many reads. After taking a job as a lifeguard to pass time between her souped up life a freak accident on the beach causes Olivia to put her and everyone around her at risk. When it all takes a turn for the worst, the consequences are life threatening for Olivia. With the incident leaving her helplessly damaged in unimaginable ways, she is unable to work, practice or continue with the few things that make her world go around. There's a lot of talk of failure, cheating, retirement, stupidity. She's going to prove them all wrong. And no one is going to tell her otherwise.

This was my very first attempt at crafting an entire story from scratch all the way back in 2020, and I'd like to think my writing has since improved.
