After her mother left her over ten years ago, seventeen year old Lana has been sailing around the word with her dad. She may have been homeschooled but she knows everything she needs to know about the ocean. Not only on boats but on a surfboard too.
Never staying in one place very long, Lana never had time to make friends or live a stable life as they try to cope with minimum income.
But a month after her dad leaves to go on a sailing race, she gets a call that her father is missing and is forced to live with the mother she hasn't spoken to in years. The mother who happens to own one of the biggest beach resorts in Hawaii.
Lana must learn how to survive in this knew life where she will have to deal with snobby rich people, old childhood friends, the non-existent relationship with her mother and the worry of having no idea what happened to her father.
But how long will she have this new life before she goes back to her old one?

I feel like I hit a bit of a brick wall. I love this story, it was the first time I started writing for me and not for school. I was getting some major writer's block when it came to this story which felt weird because the creative juices had been flowing up to this point. I love this story and the characters and I finally realised that any writing I tried to force out would be really bad quality and that it could ruin the story. I do realise that this is very frustrating; I would be annoyed if someone did it to me. But I really think that in this case, less is more. I may come back to this story one day, but I make no promises. I feel like my time with Liam and Saskia has come to an end. They can enjoy their summer in peace! I started writing this before the Wattpad Purge, and I didn't want to go through the entire story and change their age to 18. There will be a couple chapters near the end of the book where they both turn 18, and obviously that's just stupid. I just don't want to get banned, so I'm saying that these characters are already 18, but they also have their 18th birthdays near the end of the book. I'm just being lazy to be honest. It's not gonna affect the book that much, just ignore it when they say in the early chapters that they are already adults or already 18. That shit doesn't matter. The quality of my writing in this book is pretty mid by the way. I'm a teenage boy that listens to 21 Savage, I feel like expectations shouldn't be high. I don't have writing skills the way many other writers on this site do, so don't expect some Shakespeare type shit. The characters in this book are similar to each other too.
