After her mother left her over ten years ago, seventeen year old Lana has been sailing around the word with her dad. She may have been homeschooled but she knows everything she needs to know about the ocean. Not only on boats but on a surfboard too. 

Never staying in one place very long, Lana never had time to make friends or live a stable life as they try to cope with minimum income.

But a month after her dad leaves to go on a sailing race, she gets a call that her father is missing and is forced to live with the mother she hasn't spoken to in years. The mother who happens to own one of the biggest beach resorts in Hawaii.

Lana must learn how to survive in this knew life where she will have to deal with snobby rich people, old childhood friends, the non-existent relationship with her mother and the worry of having no idea what happened to her father.

Will the craziness of teenage life get in the way or will one shake be all it takes? *AUTHOR'S NOTE* I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to anyone who was waiting for me to take this story further. I feel like I hit a bit of a brick wall. I love this story, it was the first time I started writing for me and not for school. I was getting some major writer's block when it came to this story which felt weird because the creative juices had been flowing up to this point. I love this story and the characters and I finally realised that any writing I tried to force out would be really bad quality and that it could ruin the story. I do realise that this is very frustrating; I would be annoyed if someone did it to me. But I really think that in this case, less is more. I may come back to this story one day, but I make no promises. I feel like my time with Liam and Saskia has come to an end. They can enjoy their summer in peace!
