Maria quickly becomes best friends with a girl named Keisha. Keisha introduces her to a rap artist named Eminem. Maria quickly fell in love with his music. Maria then bumps into a jock that attends her high school named Jordan, they clicked right away. Keisha, Maria, and Jordan began to hang out. Keisha offered to invite them both to the 2000 Mtv VMAS and have access to meet the celebrity's backstage. That moment changed Maria's life forever.
