Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Desperate to keep her magic hidden, Katerina goes to great lengths to avoid dragons and mages. When she gets cornered by evil mages, her only chance at escape involves freeing a trapped dragon. * * * Katerina's biggest fear is that unscrupulous mages or dragons would discover her magic and use her as a living magical battery. When she stumbles into a group of evil mages trying to magically enslave a dragon, she releases the dragon to act as a distraction, hoping he would attack the mages while she escaped. But magic has rules, and when you free a dragon mage, it creates magedebt that they must repay, lest their magic fade. Forced to travel together, Katerina struggles to hide her magic as she accompanies Rakota and his friends while they hunt down the Shadow Mages. Rakota is one of many dragons who detest humans due to how many have tried to slay him, steal his treasure, or control him with magic. He has no desire for a rider, but when his childhood sweetheart shows up, she won't consider courtship unless he has one. As if evil mages with ancient spells aren't enough, word comes from the coast that the nagas are planning to invade and wipe out the humans. Goals and secrets clash as Katerina strives to keep her magic hidden, yet that very magic might be the key to stopping the war, and becoming Rakota's rider would give him the family he's always dreamed of. But all magic has a price, and to become a rider, she'd have to forfeit her freedom. Copyright November 2022. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy or steal this story. [INCOMPLETE] Rowan is a creature of great misunderstanding. In a world full of Mythical beings, his kind, the Anadin, are heavily hated by the whole world, and very endangered. Though, it's become clear that everyone would be thrilled to have these creatures wiped from existence. Why they're hated has become a messy entanglement of false information and tall-tales. Still, the hatred has never faltered in any living creature. Rising from a childhood of blood and tears, 17 year old Rowan has grown used to seeing misery and distress around him-- in fact, inflicting it is one of his favorite past times. When Rowan crosses paths with a 19 year old human named Evelyn Fontaine, Things start to become... interesting; Undoubtedly in more ways than one. Besides Evelyn training to become a police officer like her mother(which would badly clash with his unlawful, and frankly highly questionable hobbies,) Rowan gets a taste of the harsh reality of just how much the world hates Anadins. When the pair come across a strange woman who's seemingly entire life's purpose is to wipe any non-human off the face of the earth, their lives are shoved onto a completely different course. Just how nasty will the trials they face ahead of them be? Young Evelyn's life seemed to be going in the right direction- Already, she had a smooth path laid in front of her. When both of their lives (one still on the hard path to self-discovery) get tossed off-course by the currents of fate, they'll have to enter a new battle; one of injustice, transformation, misunderstanding, and even romance. What will happen to Rowan if not only his identity is revealed, but his secrets as well? What happens when Rowan finally understands why everyone is so terribly afraid of his kind? Is he forever meant to be the dishonest and mischevious boy he's been disguised as?
