The dead do not sleep. The dead do not eat. The dead most certainly do not laugh. And the dead do not cry. 6 years have passed since nuclear war broke out, destroying the planet and killing most of the world's population. Different geographical regions have been affected differently, the climate mutating and transforming people into horrific monsters of all kinds. Now humanity must fight to survive amongst literal zombies, vampires, and horrific fungal spores capable of reducing even the strongest to nothing. Emily lives with a small, ragtag group of survivors, her friends before the outbreak occurred. When one of them falls ill, in dire need of medicine, the group is forced to travel to the hospital across town, where they discover something, or rather someone unexpected. Mark was a normal person before the outbreak, before he was bitten by his own father, before everything went to hell in a handbasket. Now he lives under the hospital with his trusty cat Buckwheat, hiding from the daylight and wondering why him, out of all the infected, has to "live" with the curse of sanity after his demise. Not only must Jet and his team evade the Angels and Zombies, but a legendary team of Angels, Angel Six, are sent to eliminate them. Many challenges will be faced as each person is put through the ultimate test of survival. Who will win? Who will lose? Who will die?

Bastien Water's name gets called out during the Choosing and he has to try to survive on Earth. While his family grieves thinking that Bastien won't survive but he's out to prove them wrong. Bastien meets new people, makes some friends and make some enemies. Bastien has to face many challenges to survive on Earth. Will he be able to do it? (None of this story is edited... so please bear with me... and the ending is crappy, sorry bout that)

In the end, it all comes down to one battle. Can Elliott over come his fears and stand up to his brother for what he thinks is right? Can he save the world, his world, from crumbling down?
