Melody and Zayn grew up together, of course, they never really were friendly. They had hated each other since the first time Melody saw Zayn’s face, they were just four years old and had the rest of their life to hate each other, and they never seemed to care. Melody and Zayn have at least one class together every year due to their last names all the way from Kindergarten up to the time they were seniors in high school.

About four months before school was to let out, they were assigned to do a report on ‘The Great Gatsby’. That was where it all began. Zayn and Melody completed the project together, Melody’s heart nearly breaking once or twice along the way. Zayn stayed composed until they were assigned to do their next project together, – since they had excelled at their first – it was a school play put on by the factuality.
