I walked into the room. It gave off that certain feeling when you're watching a scary movie and that certain villain or killer was about to jump out. Except I was that person who was the killer.

I clicked the lightbulb on and the room alighted with big, bright lights. I glanced at the bulbs and dust was floating all around it. I tapped the hard, concrete wall with my sharp fingernails and felt around for the button. I pushed it and the trap door flew open. A gross, mildew smell arose from the chamber with some scents of blood and decaying flesh. I blinked as it raised from the door. It groaned and I got my knife out.

Bending down I whisper in his ear, "don't mess with me sweetheart and never call me yours." He growled lowly. In the darkness of her dreams, she saw herself standing at a window looking down below, only to see a misting, swirling fog. She could not see the ground and did not know how far down it was. She had no idea where she was. Soon after, she was led down a dark hallway to a room with a large altar. She felt herself being lifted up and then placed back down on the hard stone surface. Now all she could see was a large man, holding a knife in his hands, with the sharp edge pointed directly over her heart...Then a different man with deep blue eyes was looking down at her, and his hand was caressing her face, telling her everything was going to be ok. A loud bang on the door made her startle and rise up. There, coming through the door, were several large angry men, dressed strangely in what looked like animal furs and carrying ominous looking weapons. Some had clubs with sharp objects attached to the ends and others had sharp axes and swords. She could hear her own screams escaping from her lips, and she opened her eyes to notice she was lying in her bed in the safety of her room in the convent where she lived. She was still trembling and had to tell herself it was just a dream. She was safe and no one would ever be able to hurt her.

I headed towards the exit keeping in mind that I have to get out of there at any cost. I opened the door and looked behind to find I was in a hotel. 'Room number 707' as it read. TEASER: I sit comfortably in my makeshift shelter, planning my next voyage to the surface. Faint footsteps above ground snap me out of my thought. I silently reached to my loaded gun, an SKO Shorty, and carefully pulled back the hammer. I silently crept up the unstable metal stairs, aiming my gun at the door at the top. The heavy metal door creaked. Something was behind it. The door pushes open to reveal a man. A human. He slowly reaches into his pocket and pulls out a crinkled yellow paper. I grab the note, while lowering my gun. I look up only to find the man gone. I unfold the paper. It's hard to make out the words in red ink with the dim lighting of the sewer tunnel. Eventually, I'm able to decipher, "34.0522' N, 118.2437' W". Coordinates. At the bottom of the note, scribbled out in black in, there's one phrase. "Code: 213" *Please note this story includes graphic depictions of blood and violence. This story may not be suitable for all audiences.

Black fills my vision as I try to move forward. My legs feel limp and heavy, each step growing harder than the last. My arms stay glued to my body. I try to rip them off of myself but they don't budge. The hard floor pulsed like a heartbeat beneath my feet. A silhouette moves at the end of the tunnel and I squint my eyes, trying to figure out what is going on. As I go to take an other step, my leg doesn't move. I look down at the concrete floor in confusion. The grounds seems so far away and out of reach. Feeling dizzy, I look back up and the tunnel i'm currently standing is so long and dark. So dark and only a small pinpoint light illuminates the room. I can't quite figure out where it's coming from or how it's there, considering there's no door. Or anything at all.
