After the first wave, only darkness remains. After the second wave, only the lucky escape. After the third wave, only the unlucky survive. After the fourth wave, just one rule applies, trust no one. Now it's the dawn of the 5th wave and Squad 19 looks like they're in good shape to graduate and actually fight against the force that has destroyed their past lives.
Fourteen year-old squad member Green looks up to no one else more than 19's squad leader, Ringer, who they all believe will lead them to victory with her sharp mind and even sharper shot on the firing range. When a new recruit arrives however, squad 19's chances of being #1 are threatened by his smart mouth and apparent hatred for everyone.
Soon enough, Green finds himself, and fellow privates, making choices between themselves and their squad members, and what could become choices between life and death.
But according to Ringer, "you either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain."
A/N: Hey! I didn't make up this storyline! The only thing I made up are the new characters! Pretty much everything in this story belongs to Rick Yancey. This is just a companion to my favorite story :)

The Survivor
After Murphy is banished he never comes back and they all assume he's dead. A year passes and the Grounders and Sky people are no longer at war, but some Grounders still hate the delinquents. Ice Nation is one of the clans who still want to see them dead. Lexa calls upon an ally of the Grounders to protect the Sky people, he's called The Survivor. What happens when this mystery lone soldier with shapeshifting powers and epic fighting skills starts to remind them of a certain long-gone, resentful Sky person who they thought was dead? These kids numbered a hundred, have ages ranging from 12 to 17. And as for why they are all strapped inside this burning 90-year-old dropship heading to the ground...Well, it all started at the end. Ninety-seven years ago, a nuclear apocalypse struck the Earth, leaving the planet simmering in radiation. But of course, the human race was a stubborn one. At the time of the bombs, twelve nations had operational space stations that they used to house survivors. Later, these twelve stations banded up and merged, becoming the one we now know as The Ark. For many years now, The Ark has kept what's left of humanity alive. But about a year ago, an engineer discovered a huge problem in the Ark's system. The Ark's life support systems are failing, and it won't be long before they run out of air and die. Hence, the current situation. These kids are being sent on a desperate mission to see if the ground is survivable again. But why kids though? Won't it be better to have the more capable scientists or guards be the ones to take this risk? The Ark is controlled by the Elites made up of the Chancellor, Council and highly specialized professionals. On the ground, there are 12 packs ruled by an Alpha and a Luna. The Trikru Pack is the largest but the Mountain Pack has always been their worst enemy; taking their people and turning them into Reapers. The future Luna of the Trikru Pack, Lexa Woods will be tested mentally, physically and emotionally when she meets a blue-eyed omega and a blue-green eyed alpha.
