Sydney was never too fond of love. She treated it as something only found in books. After her parents died in a car crash, she has to live with her aunt. Having no friends whatsoever, Sydney has a hard time. On the same day that she planned taking her own life, she meets Vincent. He protects her no matter what, and shows her such a strong passion, unlike any other, but the thing is... he is a demon. That's right. He was punished for falling in love with an angel, and now he must save a life before the demon realm completely eliminates him. Will Vincent save Sydney from death, and return to his beloved Astra the Angel, or will he find romance with this shy human he is helping?

"Marry me, Cassie. Fulfill the promise you made to me. Become the demon's bride." His voice was deep, laced with something ancient, something unbreakable. He stepped closer, his burning crimson eyes never leaving hers. Her breath hitched. Her heart pounded in her chest, fear and something unexplainable tangling together. "And if I refuse?" she whispered. A smirk curled on his lips, dark and knowing. "Then I will make you ready... but you will marry me." She wanted to call him insane, to tell him he had the wrong person. But the way he looked at her-like he had waited lifetimes just for this moment-shook her to her core. He spoke of promises she didn't remember, of a past she couldn't recall. Yet, something inside her ached at his words, a strange sense of déjà vu wrapping around her like a ghostly embrace. What happens when a demon claims you as his lost lover, swearing that you once vowed to marry him?
