I sighed heavily as I scanned the forest. I had heard something or someone to be specific, wandering about. I decided I would leave once I affirmed they weren't a danger. Men. My brother was the same way. It's kinda funny how all, correction, most shifter men think alike. I would've thought he would be different, after all, he is Lycan. Something of myths. But then again, so are the supernatural. I turned away from him, not even looking at him. I didn't want to remember what he looked like so I didn't give him a second glance. I heard him move closer. I quickly grabbed the knife out of my holster and threw it at a tree next to him. He stops moving then. "Heed my warning. It's the only one you'll get" I spoke coldly "I will find you. Then you will have no escape from me" he spoke as he backed away I could understand. Lycans, like lion-shifters, were going extinct. Therefore mates were even more important to them. But, even if I understood I still didn't want to be someone's mate. It happened so quickly that no one even had a moment to respond to it. He was charging at me from across the room and I was standing frozen with wide eyes as he came at me. The wolf collided with me full force and my body slammed into the ground with a sickeningly loud crack. I felt all my bones snapping and rattling together as I hit the ground. The wolf caged me underneath himself his big sharp teeth snarling inches from my face. I blinked a couple time as I stared into those glowing blue eyes and I felt my heart beating in ears. This was it, I was going to be killed because I couldn't keep my stupid mouth shut and just do what I had been told.

A/N: People seem to think that this is a werewolf story and adding it to their werewolf reading list, it's not, it does have some werewolves in it but they aren't the main characters or species. ~ He looks at me with his mismatched eyes, they're cold and angry, not much of a surprise there. He is leaning against his table, his arms crossed as well as his legs, yeah he is angry alright. "You've been avoiding me" He glares at me, well great he figured me out. I shrug and don't say anything. He growls "What the fuck did I say about using your goddamn words Noah?" I smile sarcastically...and I shrug. His face contorts, uh oh he's going beastie, he pushes off his desk and stalks his way over to me and pushes me against the wall with one of his giant hands on my throat. "You best not forget who the fuck I am you little shit, just because we're mates doesn't mean I'm gonna let you disrespect me like that" He presses down on my jugular and lifts up me giving me no choice but to wrap my legs around him so he doesn't completely take me away from air. "I've known you your whole life babygirl, I know your weakness" He whispers in my ear, he moves my head to the side and finds his mark, he kisses it. Motherfucker.

He coos, his breath fanning my neck, causing me to shiver In disgust. If only my brothers were here... "Wheres a delicacy like you been hiding this whole time?" His use of words has me on edge. His implementations imply that he's some sort of cannibal and judging from what he did to that other man I fear I may be right. I refuse to answer him, spitting in his face. My face bounces of the wall, the sting of his slap left behind on my cheek. I shake the pain away, placing a facade up to hide the fear within. You fucking bastard! I narrow my eyes at him, taking note of his features in case I miraculously survive this encounter. His hair is a dark auburn and his eyes that watch me with amusement are a dark blue. His attire was a black suit which seemed out of place considering he was standing in an alleyway. If I manage to escape I want to be confident that'd I'd be able to have this bastard put behind bars. Again if... His eyes shift, my eyes widening as his eyes turn from a dark blue to a pool of black, red veins trailing along from his pupil to the edge of his eyes. His voice is dark as he commands, "Show me that pretty little neck of yours." ೋღ🌹ღೋ ⚠️ Warning!!! This book is extremely dark and has depictions of Mature language, violence, sexual activity, sexual and physical abuse, including rape. Rape is a serious crime often overlooked where the victim is made to believe it is their fault. I do not condone rape however, it's a reality. Please only read if your 18+ and with caution. He dragged me to the kitchen again and grabbed my cup that was still on the table. "Drink. It." I grabbed the glass and took a sip. His nose crinkled. "No. Down it. Drink the whole thing." I down it and coughed again. It was so bitter and I recoiled. My head spun and I felt like I was going to throw up. I held my head and closed my eyes. The world spun so much faster when I closed my eyes. He held me under my chin. "Listen. You pissed off a powerful man while you were gone. He wants you and I'm not giving you without a price. So next week, after the paperwork is filled out, you're gonna be good. Or I'll lower that price. Do you understand?" I nodded my head as best I could but it made me even dizzier. He let go of my chin and I felt myself falling. "Now you haven't drank that much. Don't tell me you're out for the count. I haven't even gotten started with you." he grabbed a bottle of beer and handed it to me. I almost dropped it but managed to grab the bottle by the neck right before it left my hand. "Drink."
