It was morning. I stood with closed eyes in the bathroom. I stood at the sink with a mirror in front of me. I felt thin and long fingers on my waist. I knew it was a dream. I felt talons. More tears started falling when I felt a clawed finger brush the salvia away. I whimpered when I heard it speak: "It's okay. I'm only here to protect you and help you." Lissie is being stalked and she does not know what to do or who to tell. She does not know what is following her. She's got to be dreaming but when the thing following her keeps stalking she realizes that this might not be a dream. But what is it? Where does it come from? Why follow her?

I was just laying down on my bed, cuddled up with a book, when I heard a faint creak on the stairs. The sound was muffled seeing as the door was shut, but I heard it nevertheless. My eyes wandered to the door and I tried to be as silent as possible in my attempt to locate another sound. My body was tense, but relaxed when I didn't hear another noise. It's probably just my imagination, I thought. My paranoia was probably just getting the best of me since I was home alone. I heard the stairs creak again however and I heard... Footsteps. I put my book down slowly and got off my bed as quietly as I could. Yes, those were definitely footsteps. I opened my door slowly, trying to be as silent as possible.
