nearly wiping out an entire race... raised me because my father would not.
And now my uncle, whom I love, wants me and my brother dead. And I will take the hit if it means protecting the ones I love or die trying.
Basically this fic starts 5 years after Age of Ultron and nothing has really happened to the avengers since then.
