“My parents warned me about the drugs on the streets, but never the ones with hazel eyes and a heartbeat.” I said as I looked into her beautiful hazel eyes. I could feel my heart pounding in my throat.
“Well, just be careful, because drugs are addictive. And I’m not a drug you want to get addicted to.” She replied as she frowned and turned around to walk away. I grabbed her arm and made her stop.
“But, I can’t help it – you grabbed me and…” I started, but she cut me off.
“No, that’s not how drugs go, sweetheart. You're the one that makes the choice to grab the drug and run with it.”
“Then will you run with me?”

Hazel eyes, that was my favorite term of endearment he settled on for me. Reserved specifically for me, by him and presented to no other previously or from this day forward. Kind to every person he came into contact with. Treated me with respect, and while with me acted as though I was the only woman in existence.
