It has been six months since the Destroyer was defeated. During that time, the Overlord returned, and Zane sacrificed himself to defeat the Overlord.
Zane's sacrifice brought the ned to the technological age in Ninjago, but the IS Dimension is advancing far more with its technology than Ninjago ever did. This has Inventor Cyrus Borg worried.
Cyrus had begun research on the IS academy's system to see everything the academy was controlling. What he finds shocks him. A deadly virus called The Destroyer Virus.
Cyrus has set up a fake Award Ceremony to lure the Dimension Holders in to help eliminate this threat, but he is about to set the ninja up against a threat unlike they have ever faced....
