Life for Claudia is finally starting to brighten up. She's gotten a full scholarship to the best university in the state, Applewood Creek University and her mom finally managed to land a stable job. Living your whole life with a single mother, constantly moving, starting new schools almost every year and trying to look for a decent paying job is hard and Claudia just wants a touch of normalcy and fresh start.
But Claudia soon finds that there is something strange going on. And what about Scott? The obnoxious, flirty star lacrosse player who picks up girls and drops them the next day. Claudia knows he's dangerous and can't be trusted, but something about him draws Claudia in, even if she doesn't want it. She knows he's hiding something and she's determined to find out what.
