Meet Taylor Iven and Phoenix Scomparsa who were best friends once upon a time, they were completely inseparable until one person in their past completely shattered the thick strands that held them together. They never spoke again. Well not until 6 years later when her and her 2 best friends May and Millie decided to make too much noise on their usual Friday night at Daniel's diner so they managed to get kicked out by him. But this isn't the end of that, no. Because these three are constantly pulling pranks at whoever messes with them they decide to prank the guy back, Hard. Unfortunately this isn't any normal guy. This is Taylor's primary school best friend who's the same guy that she used to share ice cream with, the same guy that always slept over, the same guy who could make her laugh with a sentence from his mouth, the same guy who could comfort her and the same guy who left her life once high school started. He is Phoenix Scomparsa and she is Taylor Iven. They were once best friends now strangers in a pranking war.

Avery wrapped an arm around my waist to catch me before I could get out the door. He pushed me up against the door, trapping me between his body and the door. "What's wrong?" I asked innocently. His face hovered over mine, much closer than I was used to. His gaze didn't leave mine as he spoke. "It would have been different if I had told him from the start. You wanted me to lie for you. You started this. If we tell him what really happened, he would be pissed at me for lying to him." "Stormie, you got a phone call!" Mason yelled up the stairs. The closeness between Avery and me started to make my legs feel like Jell-O, and I couldn't make sense of it. Our breathing became heavier. His eyes trapped mine. "Answer him," Avery murmured. "Uh," I stammered. I cleared my throat. "Be down in a minute!" My voice came out higher than usual. My gaze still couldn't escape Avery's. My heart raced wildly as his chest rose and fell against mine. Avery's gaze flickered to my lips. What's happening? My gaze fell to his mouth, which was moving closer to mine.
