✧ Everything else was fading away around me, as fast as rain clouds after summer rain. A cacophony of sounds deafened me, surrounding me in a whirlpool of white noise. 'I'm dying', I forced myself to realise. This is what it felt like, letting go. Of memories. Of dreams. Of life as I knew it.
The world I'd left behind suddenly felt extremely far away, almost as if it was a land I'd visited years before. Though, in reality, this had probably only started a few seconds earlier.
Suddenly, out of no where an invisible weight began pressing on me, squeezing the life out of my weak body. All of the air was rushing out of my lungs like a balloon that had been let go before it had been tied; reckless and fast. I knew I didn't have long left, after all I could hardly survive without air inside of me. Everything around me slowly began to fade to black as I finally accepted my fate.
With my last breath I uttered the only two words I'd ever needed to know:
"I believe". ✧
