Toby Jones is the greatest athlete Mission High has ever had. An all-star at baseball, football, basketball and soccer. All the girls love him, but he has never had a girlfriend. Why? Cause Toby hates how they all throw themselves at him. He knows that they don't like him for him and only cause he's an athlete and just so happens to have amazing genes. Not his fault he's a looker.

Hazel Carlson is the shy, quiet book lover who happens to wear glasses. Or as they all call her 'Book Nerd'. Just cause she wears glasses doesn't mean she's a nerd. Although she kinda is. She is always seen with a book and, like all the other girls, has a crush on Toby. Everyday while she waits for her brother to finish soccer practice she can't help but let her eyes wander away from the words on the page to gaze at him. What she doesn't know is that he secretly likes her. Hey, he's got a thing for smart and quirky girls like Hazel.
