Temptest thought she knew Optimus Prime, otherwise known as the false Prime, who stole the matrix of leadership and brought war to their planet. He was insane, sadistic, and obsessive. As a loyal Decepticon and a femme with a vendetta, Temptest knew there was no one she hated more.
In another dimension, Optimus Prime, otherwise known as the passionate Autobot leader, discovers a strangle signal that leads his team to a femme who curses his name and wishes him dead. After trying to help her overcome some sort of brainwashing, Optimus realizes that the truth is more complicated than it seems.
As the two of them work together, they both face their weaknesses and the many trials thrown at them by an interdimensional threat and some domestic ones. Optimus has a harsh life as the bearer of the matrix and Temptest struggles to be the symbol of freedom she once was.
Alongside them, one Megatron works to protect his adopted family while the other tags along, fighting and testing them in hopes he'll find what he lost in his own dimension.
The bots imagine that a terrible villain is on the prowl, but struggle to figure out who. The question is whether or not they can overcome their obstacles before the powerful forces in their shared pasts force them to destroy one another.
