"Just stop." He groaned, tugging on his hair.
"Why? I deserve answers!" I shouted at him. His blonde hair got in the way of his eyes, only letting me see half of his chocolate irises.
"Did you give me answers?" he shouted back.
"That's not fair." I pointed towards him.
"Kitten, life isn't fair. You think I wanted this? No, I had to help my family somehow."
"But their fine now, so what's the big deal?!" I roared.
"The big deal is that I don't want to get you involved because they would hurt you!"
"Who? Ross," I breathed, "Who would hurt me?" This time, he chuckled, like it was a joke.
"I'm waist deep in my own shit, babe." He laughed.
"Then get out of it."
"I can't!" he stood inches from me, his face in mine. "If I pull out, my family will get hurt. And will you."
"So?" A frown came onto my face. "If I get hurt, I get hurt. That's how life is."
"But you can't get hurt because I love you!" he shouted, his arms straight out by his sides. My eyes went wide, my jaw almost dropped to the floor. The heart in my chest stopped beating.
A smile broke onto his face, his arms dropping.
"I fucking love you." He walked toward me. "But if they hurt you, that will be it for me." He said grabbing my face in-between his hands. "Without you, I'd be nothing. Just an empty host with no soul to give me feelings."
I grabbed his hands that were on my face, gently rubbing the back of them.
Ross looked down at me with adoration.
"I can't lose you." He breathed, his forehead touching mine.
"Then let me fight for you."
-------------
Zenas White and Ross Lynch were the 'it couple' at high school.
The used to be bad boy suddenly changed after a bet he made with his best friend, now enemy, which made him fall for Zenas.
With Zenas falling for him two, they got together, but not with a few mistakes along the way.
Going on almost a year of being together, they thought nothing could defeat them, they were invincible.
But one day, Ross' past comes back.
And it's ready to bite him in the ass.
"Give me one valid reason as to why I should sign this?" He said leaning back on his chair, folding his arms against his chest.
"Umm...you'd get a young, intelligent, empathetic, loyal and a passionate wife? And Bonus, she's gorgeous as well." she answered with a grin, flipping her hair back.
"You forgot to add childlike." He smirked.
"I ain't a child. You're the one acting like a child here. You know the situation we are in well enough, so just sign it. Now will you?" she insisted.
"Correction. Not 'we' but 'I'. It's a 'situation' for you, not for me. So, ask politely." He said, with the smirk not leaving his face.
"Seriously!?" She frowned to which he nodded closing his eyes.
"Argh! Fine-", she let out a sigh before continuing, "Will you please sign these papers?"
"Oh Zara, I was expecting better." he showed his displeasure.
Zara sighed again. Knowing his intentions very well. She walked closer to him plastering a fake smile on her face. Seeing her approaching him, Evan stood up adorning a smile. Before he could say anything Zara smacked his face with a fist and hit him on the legs with her foot making him wince in pain. She laughed like a maniac watching him plead in front of her.
"I'm still waiting, Ms. Zara." His voice snapped her back into reality. What a bold dream!
She sighed in defeat, before replying to him.
"Mr. Evan Nash, Will you please show some mercy on me and sign these papers agreeing to our contract marraige? Please?"
"No!"
