*WARNING: THIS STORY DEALS WITH MENTAL ILLNESSES, SUICIDE, RAPE, ETC. DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE EASILY TRIGGERED* Emily Shimon was a good person. She was smart, funny, nice, everything anyone aspires to be. She was a great friend, an amazing girlfriend. Even if she was a thousand miles away in England, Emily still cared for us. It was a regular day when I was called down to the counselor's office. I thought it was a college recommendation, or something about my grades. I thought Emily and I had a long, happy future together. We had imagined us going to the same college. Moving into an apartment, getting married, buying our first house, and having kids. But that future's flame died with Emily. Emily Mercy Shimon died on Wednesday, May 8th. She committed suicide at 8:07 pm.

How do you have a grasp on reality when the only reality you've known is fading before your own eyes? This isn't JUST a lovestory. A story about finding yourself and your own family. And about finding your light at the end of the tunnel.
