Folktales.  Fairy tales.  Magic.  Vampires.  Faeries.  Monsters.  Mythology.  I love them all! Basically, I wanted to take all of these influences--Carmilla, Dungeons & Dragons, Sesame Street--and turn them into a vampire story.
