Jade was a normal high school senior girl, with a mundane life. She was pleased with what she had, even if it was not perfect. Tori looked at the boy with contemplation and Jade stared at her pleading. Just then one of the dead turned to her, its mouth agape, black and grotesque as it growled and reached forward her. Jade pulled the sword from her back quickly, backing away from the dead that was advancing on her. Her wounds preventing any fast movement. She sliced the first Walker and almost fell, the second and third then her vision started to blur and she fell, looking up to the sky as she waited for the dead to consume her. The last thing she heard was gunshots and the sound of gates opening and bodies falling around her.

There they discover that Abelinda turned her own son, Yasha, into a Hybrid, and a raging battle ensues. Abelinda and Yasha escape, and Soul and her team are forced to return back to the GMATY empty-handed.
