After contentedly living in with Cath for three years and finding success in the newly opened Elven Gratin, Marcus thinks he’s finally got it all, especially when he is told that his girlfriend is pregnant with their child. But things quickly go awry when she is diagnosed with a terminal illness, and he finds out that she isn’t the woman she appears to have been all along. When things can’t seem to get any worse, Cath suddenly disappears with two of Marcus’ friends. Upon finding evidence of foul play, and with no one else to pin the incidents down on, authorities quickly turn to him for answers. Will he be able to vindicate himself from all the accusations? The answer, he finds out, might rest in the hands of a mystery girl who comes to his aid in the unlikeliest, albeit, the most regrettable of fashions.
