"Hey umm, were you here the whole time?"
"Yea I was, how come?"
"I thought I just saw you outside. You looked rather pale. Are you sure you've been here the whole time?"
"Yes I am sure, I haven't gotten out of the tent for a long time."
"Who did I see then?"

We weren't alone, I wish we could've realized that sooner, and none of this would've happened. But by the time we did manage to realize about something breathing on our necks, it was already too late. Way too late.

Some went back to sleep, unaware, unbothered, too tired to notice the difference. Some lay in bed, too anxious to stand until the light of dawn crept through their windows at last, and they were sure the monsters in their closets had gone back to sleep. Some leapt from their slumbers, more keenly aware than others that the missing pieces were important. But we didn't know. We couldn't have. Not until we found ourselves standing in the light and discovered: We no longer had shadows.Complete

"It was a cold, rainy evening. Nightfall was looming, making the surrounding trees cast vicious shadows onto the ground around me. All I wanted was to fix my flat tire, get on the road, get home. My wet hoodie was becoming plastered to my body, and the wind was picking up. I was trembling harder than the leaves. I took one last look around before I turned my attention back to my spare tire. And that was all it took. My name is Fawn Ellis, and this is how I made the wildest mistake of my life."

"aargh!" That was a cry of pain as I became suddenly conscious.I must have been out for hours.I could feel the excruciating pain tearing through my scalp."I don't think I can hold it much longer".I looked around the field, blinded by darkness as the grasses pierced through my skin and tried to remember how I got here."What happ...how did...how am I...?!", unfinished questions racing through my mind and just then I could feel something dripping from my forehead into my left eye, stinging at every drop and I reached out to it, rubbing my eyes fiercely.It didn't take much for me to know that I was bleeding severely, my forehead was partially covered in blood.I tore off a piece of cloth from my shirt and wrapped it around my head like a bandage.I was wet and soaked in blood, my blood?-I could smell it."Now how did I get here, what the heck happened to me?". I was still figuring that out when suddenly, a bright light was shone on my face.I felt my eyes burn, trying to retain minimum light and it quickly adjusted as fast as it could.I looked towards the light-it was a van, honking and revving simultaneously.Even with my partially blinded eyes, I stood up slowly, minding my surrounding carefully as I tried to see the person in the van.Took me a split second to recognize the person and at that moment, I remembered how this nightmare started."Yes, yes, I remember everything".Those were the last words I said as I watched the van head my way and then.....Complete

As I was going on a walk one night, I saw a van coming towards me, slowly I walked turning corner after corner until I got tired and sat down luckily the van that I heard that was following me earlier was gone or so I thought... When I looked up at the take a breather the van from earlier caught my eye, "what it caught up to me already but how?" As I thought this it was stopped. Soon the side door to the van opened and I saw two people a man and a woman who had got out and came to talk to me. "what do they want?" my thought was rude so I stayed put and away from them until they came up to me saying something to me til I saw black, all I heard was a laugh and the words "you are coming with us my Darling" .... then everything was silent.Complete
The Things You Will Never Know
If you go down to the woods today... Well, in this town, you probably won't come back. Unexplained deaths and disappearances are normal around here. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us. We never talked about the night we ran in the forest, never spoke afterwards at all really, but now we're going to need each other if we're going to survive what's coming. Me and those boys I've loved all along. - - ‐ - - - - - - - - - - - - - Our town is haunted. The five of us are cursed. And Halloween is just around the corner... Let's see who makes it to November 1st.
Bound by Darkness
"This is a nightmare, it's only a nightmare..." I say to myself as I try to catch my breath while leaning against a tall pine tree. Only for a moment do I stay in that position until I hear a twig snap. I quickly leap away from the tree and run as fast as I can. "Wake up (Y/N)! just wake up!!!" I think to myself. "You are awake my dear..." I hear that voice. That damn voice. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I scream. I continue to run past trees and hopping over large rocks. The mist in the air begins to get thicker as I continue this race. "Why me? out of all the people this had to happen to me!" my brain races with thoughts until my foot gets caught by a tree root sticking out of the ground. I fall hitting my head on a rock. My vision is blurry and I can feel a warm liquid begin to stream down my face. "My dear (Y/N), look what you have done to yourself. You shouldn't have tried to run away." the voice goes through my head again. I look around and see nothing but trees. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" My voice begins to grow sore from the constant running and yelling. The sound of leaves crunching comes from behind me and I whip my head around until my eyes are met with him. "My dear (Y/N), you've made quite the mess of yourself. You know you are not aloud to leave......now you'll have to be punished." The figure says without any facial expression or motion. The figure begins to walk forward towards me. I try to back away until my vision becomes black and all I can hear is static.
I'd Live For You, If Only I Could (Completed)
*Mitch POV* I knew something was wrong when I couldn't breathe. It was in the middle of our social studies lesson for the day, and I tried to take a breath. All that happened was worse suffocation. Being twelve, I didn't handle it well. I opened my mouth to try to speak, but all that came out was an odd sounding croak. My teacher hushed me. But someone sitting next to me looked at me and noticed how pale I looked, or noticed that tears were welling in my eyes and I was drooping. I wrapped my hands around my throat seconds before I blacked out. That was only the first instance. In the time that I was unconscious, my lungs filled with fluid and I almost died. I was out for nearly two days, and my parents really thought that I would die. I vaguely remember hearing my mom crying while I couldn't open my eyes, and my dad telling her that maybe it was just my time and they had to let me go. But then I woke up, and the fluid had been drained from my lungs. I spent a while more in the hospital, and in that time, my parents found out that I had cancer. It had been determined that I probably wouldn't live much longer, maybe three months at the most. The conversation was happening outside my room, where I was supposed to be asleep, but I still heard the whole thing. What I remember most is my mom's sobs.Complete
