From being hated by her own family since her brother and sister were born things have only gone downhill. She’s a victim of bullying, beating, hate mail and abuse- not just from her mates but family too. Because of this she has started to self harm and hate herself for who she is. She hit rock bottom, but things are about to get better...and slightly weird.
When Ell meets a none human named Jamie her life takes a dramatic turn for the better. But will things work out or just come crashing down around her?

Every year for the past hundred years, there has been a masquerade ball that was held where all wolves found their mates, in particular, Alpha Landon, a twenty-three year old that is the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack. He is feared by many and admired by most. His family are the richest and high in the council. He finds her, and because of her dormant wolf, he thinks she's human. Soon she goes missing, because her pack members sold her to a rogue pack. Alex searches, and searches, but cannot find her. Her wolf has to completely go dormant, because it's just causing her pain and she would died of she didn't. Alex thinks that she's dead, because he felt the connection between them break. He finds another girl to be his mate, and when Ashleigh is found, she is heartbroken. Not only was it her pack that made her suffer through all that because they sold her, but her mate had given up on her because her wolf had to go into dormancy. She falls into severe depression, and develops a form of PTSD, that was formed from the shock she had from her pack and mate's betrayal. She isn't happy anymore, and that brightness she had in her personality is gone, leaving a husk of her former self.
