Only because she's not fully fledged.
So on the night before she becomes fully fledged, something disastrous happened and she's whisked away to the past, future and present.

And what happens when three, yes three, hunky hotties join her, each during their time frames?

An assignment as the personal escort of the Golden Guard himself doesn't sound too shabby- especially when you've got exceptional abilities to back you up.
