As a nurse, I deal with a lot of unkind circumstances. The hardest part for me is witnessing the emotions of the family when their loved one is dying. However, I take great joy in witnessing the family’s reaction to the miracle of birth. Occasionally, I’ve witnessed both in a matter of just a few moments.

“She is hemorrhaging!” Shouts one of the doctors. That is what I still hear sometimes, when everything else in my head is silent.

 Doctors earn an insane amount of money by having to say these words...
