My Hunger Games.My name is Aria Moulson and I won the 69th Hunger Games 6 years ago. I was the first Mockingjay. Trust me I never wanted to be. I never wanted to start a rebellion I just wanted to get in and out. But, the people of Panem had a different idea. They saw me as the light in the darkness. They saw me as their way out of President Snow's wrath. They saw me as their Mockingjay. Why they saw me as the Mockingjay? It was because I was the first tribute to ever speak out about the Capitol's tyranny. A moment of weakness in the games and it cost me a lifetime of pain and suffering. But now I'm going back for the 3rd Quarter Quell and this time, I'm taking the Capitol down with me. I'll give them a show. I'll give the people something to fight for.

This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination.
